I’ve been very busy this month attracting sponsors and growers for the Festival at Hurstpierpoint College Chapel on Saturday June 14th. Greenlines nursery near Chichester have offered me a box of 200 sweet peas – how gorgeous is that? Georgie Newbery of Common Farm Flowers has offered a mixed arrangement, Barns Green Blooms are happy to help with whatever is in season at the time, friends have offered carte blanche for some garden picking and we are growing flowers from seeds thanks to Sarah Raven who kindly donated packets of seeds.
There is much interest in British Flowers at the moment and Covent Garden flower market are holding a British Flowers Week from 16th June so I am rather pleased to be ahead of the curve with our event on June 14th! I was delighted to hear from Paula Pryke and Shane Connolly who both heartily endorse the fact that the festival is only going to be using British flowers – it is great to have support from such well known florists. (Look them up – you’ll see!) Everyone is welcome – bring your friends and family and enjoy a walk round followerd by a delicious afternoon tea with Little Ritz Vintage in the marquee.
It’s not too late to join in – if you would like to sponsor a display by supplying flowers please message me for more information . A free advertisement in our Festival programme is offered in return.
